Which WoT Character or Scene should I paint next?

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 30, 2013, 6:05 AM
Facebook l Gallery l dA Portfolio l Watch Me l Note Me

As most of you have probably noticed, I have taken it upon myself to work on fan art for the Wheel of Time series. I am hoping this will keep me inspired to keep pushing and learning so my art can improve.

So...what characters would you like to see next, and more specifically what scene's in the books. I have only read up to book 6 so I am sort of behind on the curve :(

Feel free to go all out on your ideas (the more descriptions I get the more I can envision your idea)...if I can remotely do it, I will give it my best shot. Hoping to get feedback from some of you!

I got into digital painting early 2011 and since then have been practicing whenever I have free time. Hoping to someday become as good as some of the amazing artists I have been following. Beyond that...I paint for fun and really enjoy creating something from a blank canvas.

Software Consultant by day, digital artist by night. My biggest source of inspiration, critique and support is my beautiful wife of almost 7 years. I would have given up a long time ago if she did not constantly encourage me to pursue art as a hobby. So...if you like my artwork and hope to keep seeing me improve then you can thank her ;)

I enjoy feedback from people and always listen to criticism even if I don't like it. There is always something to learn. So please leave comments and critiques!

Cheers and keep smiling!! :icongrin--plz:

My pleasure! Haha, I churn out more quantity over quality :p. I wish I was a bit more patient and try to focus on better quality, but it just never happens. Your work is amazing and I envy you! don't ever rush it :)

Well, since you like painting quickly and are adept at it, maybe you should focus on creating a looser style.  It would play up the energy that your paintings already have, which would just make them that much cooler!!  I always want to go looser, but it's not my nature! :o)

Well, ultimately I am hoping to eventually be quick enough to paint a bit more polished/tight paintings in less time. I am getting there, but it is a very slow going between work being so busy and a lot happening in my personal life. I also like loose paintings, but those require a much more masterful understanding of brush strokes and color which I don't have :(

Oh well, all a matter of time, patience and practice :) I will get there eventually even if it takes 5yrs or 20yrs :)
